Being in the real estate industry for more than 20 years, I recognized a gap in the business and a place where I could help educate senior citizens and their children. My passion for helping seniors led me to earn the designation of Senior Real Estate Specialist. Working through the buying or selling process of a home can be complicated and frustrating and I want to help make it more understandable and that’s why I decided to start JOY. A resource for seniors where they can find information to make well-informed decisions regarding real estate, retirement, legal matters, end-of-life concerns, and more.
As my passion grew helping the seasoned buyers and sellers, I discovered they had many concerns, like many, as we age such as what is my home worth? What happens if I’m unable to take care of the maintenance and yard work? If I were to sell my home are there things I need to do? Do I have enough money for retirement? What are my options? I also found as I am aging, so are the most important people around me like my parents and grandparents. They had many questions so I started reaching out to people to help answer those questions and thought it would be wonderful to have a resource for people to go to who are solid, reputable businesses that could help answer those questions so our loved ones do not feel taken advantage of.
